Practices are regularly held on the third Monday of every month.  From 26th April 2010, practices will take place on the third AND fourth Mondays of every month.   See venue details on home page.  

THE YARDARM FOLK ORCHESTRA

 

 

Based in Southend on Sea, Essex, UK  we specialise in British traditional folk music but include music from other cultures in our programmes.  We operate on a charitable basis with a form of constitution  approved by the Charity Commission.  Members are unpaid.

Practices and Other Activities

 

Practices are held on the third Monday of each month, 7.45pm to 10.00pm at the Trinity Methodist Church hall, Corner London Road and Argyll Road, Westcliff on Sea, Essex.  Other activities will be notified on the scrolling banner above this page.  Commencing 26th April 2010, additional practice will take place on the 4th Monday of every month.  That is in addition to the 3rd Monday.

 

We have no connection with the church other than hiring their hall.

 

 

NEW MEMBERS WELCOME

 

Most acoustic instruments are suitable for traditional folk music and you are welcome to join us.  Your levels of skill and experience do not matter because we have informal training Sessions.  Email us or just turn up on the third Monday at 7.45pm (see the details on the left).
